Great and friendly service. Clean, airy ambiance. Food was good, but a bit overhyped in my opinion. The loaded biscuit entree felt too heavy. The burger was great (an 8/10) in my books. Went for lunch, the prices felt reasonable for a DC spot. Menu seemed to have a good variety. Overall, I had a positive experience but wouldn't rush back anytime soon. I'd say this is a convenient spot close by with a fairly interesting menu.

Came here for brunch on 7/27 to get a decent food haul before Broccoli Fest. The diner has everyday brunch before 3:45pm so we were going to take advantage. I want to say the wait at the time (1130) was 30mins so my friend and I opted for the bar and found seats immediately. We were waited on fairly quickly and ordered: Lemon drop x2 - 10/10 - I loveeeeee lemon drops but they range in their sourness from place to place. LDs here were amazing and strong. By the second one I was in the perfect place in terms of a buzz, that's a plus for me, judge ya mother. Loaded breakfast biscuits - 10/10 - please forgive me but B**CH, somebody daddy in the back putting his heart and soul in these biscuits. Everything about this meal was perfect, the consistency of the eggs the biscuits, the jam, the sauce. I damn near moaned through half the meal UNTIL I noticed therr was something in my food -_-. I contemplated saying something just because I wasn't sure if I'd even want them to replace it considering they left plastic (confirmed by the waiter who took the plate) in my food already but they were extremely apologetic and that soothed my angst. I asked for a side of jelly and that took the meal over, it was the perfect contrast to the savory dish. I'd order this again and again if I came back. They get 5 stars just from their resolution of the issue without any back and forth as well as what they comped on the bill AND how the quickly the replacement meal came out. My friend ordered the corn beef hash, I tasted it but it wasn't for me. The consistency just didn't do it for me. I'd recommend this place for sure, and wouldn't mind coming back.

I would want to come back here until I'd tried every item on the menu but it would be so hard not to re-order the meatloaf and Lebanese fried rice because they were so good. Everything we ordered was flavor with a twist. The only thing I would have done different is not to add a protein to our fried rice because it came by itself on a separate plate and felt out of place. The miso salmon was just... salmon.

Divine! This spot in DC is absolutely a must. It's a top tier breakfast and other later in the day items also sound amazing. We made reservations which are probably more necessary during brunch hours on the weekend. They do have a large bar area for seating. Parking is street. Our waiter was awesome! Very charismatic and friendly. We ordered the Chicken & Waffles, S"Eggs"y Sandwich, Hashbrowns, Scrambled Eggs, and coffee. Best C&W I've ever had. The cornbread waffle marries perfectly with the crispy chicken. And that gravy?!! Out of this world! Unlike any gravy I've had and not a typical "southern" gravy. French fries were crispy and delicious. Seriously no notes on any of it! 10/10. Go here immediately!
